Filmed on the wild cliffs and lush forests of Madeira Island, this short film follows the journey of a young woman searching for happiness in her mission to “save the world.” Driven by eco-sustainability, new-age philosophies, and a desire to repair what feels broken in creation, she gradually discovers that her efforts cannot satisfy the deeper ache within her.
Through contemplative images of untouched nature—waterfalls, green valleys, and the raw beauty of the island—the film reveals a quiet shift: true joy is not found in rescuing the planet, but in knowing the One who rescued her.

I handled the full production, from concept development to final edit, navigating remote locations and a delicate narrative tension. The goal was to honor the goodness of caring for creation while showing that ultimate satisfaction comes only from God—a core theme at the heart of Desiring God’s mission.
